Description
The VW Beetle and the VW bus gathered a loyal fan base over a long stretch of time. The founding of VW was entirely based on the development of the Beetle as an inexpensive car for Germany’s general population. The VW bus (nicknamed Bulli or hippie-mobile) followed in the 50s. It satisfied the demand for highly flexible transport vehicles that could be manufactured and maintained inexpensively.
