| Skoda is a Czech automobile manufacturer and a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG. The brand was founded in 1895 as a bicycle manufacturer and produced its first automobile in 1905. At 125 years old, Skoda is one of the oldest automobile manufacturers in the world. Between 1999 and 2005, the Skoda Motorsport manufacturer team drove in the World Rally Championship and the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The brand has been represented in WRC2 since 2015 and has won twelve world championship titles together with its customer teams. Today Scoda employs over 35,000 people and produced its 22 millionth vehicle in 2019. |
